| Reach for a Dream |
Reach For A Dream believes that no child should live without hope. Childhood is intended to be the most magical phase of human existence, filled with dreams, aspirations and most of all fun! For children who have been diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness, the wonder of childhood is often lost in the emotional, physical and financial strain of dealing with their illness. Reach For A Dream strives to alleviate part of this anxiety by creating a novel environment for the child, one that is focused on laughter, excitement and entertainment. We encourage our children to stretch their imaginations and dream beyond their greatest expectations. Reach For A Dream fulfils the dreams of children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have been diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness by a medical practitioner. Each child living with a life-threatening illness is given an opportunity to dream as we do not discriminate based on race, culture, financial status or any other factor. We work with children across South Africa with our main centres in Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria. Our National Office is situated in Randburg, Gauteng.

Our services are free of charge as we believe quality care and respite is a necessity not a luxury. We want to make a real difference to families who find themselves in unimaginable circumstances. In response to this crisis, Children of the Dawn provides rural South African communities with an effective and innovative model for orphaned and vulnerable children.
In sponsoring an orphan or a vulnerable child, you could change the future of one South African child! Since the start of the programme 8 years ago, we have transformed the live of 793 orphaned and vulnerable children, offering them basic necessities and HOPE! For R210 a month, you can change the life of a little one and strengthen the whole community. R210? For us: a meal at a restaurant, an item of clothing. And the donation is tax-deductible. For a Dawn Child: a month of food, toiletries, schooling, clothes and care..., a new Dawn!
