Colleen's Place of Hope
Colleen's Place of Hope is an orphanage for abused and abandoned children in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town. It was founded by Colleen Naidoo and her husband Farrell in 1990 and since 2002 it has been officially registered as a nonprofit organization by the South African Department of Social Development.
Most of the children at Colleen's Place of Hope have been victims of mental and/or physical abuse. They were dumped on the streets by their parents, seriously damaged during pregnancy or are HIV positive. We ensure that they are all supplied with food, health care and education within the social environment of a big family. We are preparing their future.
